Sylvie Carr Featured in Community Focus: “Mural, Mural on the Wall”
Saturday, January 22nd, 2011
“You may be surprised by how much of the “canvas” of our community has been touched by artist and painter, Sylvie Carr. Her murals can be seen in various locations, including Downtown Pleasant Hill and the County library, as well as many of our local schools. Her pieces range from vivid depictions of the California landscape to brightly colored fruits and vegetables to Valley View Middle School’s mascot, the jaguar.”

Murals in downtown Pleasant Hill
Saturday, October 24th, 2009
I recently completed my 6th mural in downtown Pleasant Hill, across from the entrance to Borders.
It is a 7′x 6′ rendering of the Golden Gate Bridge. The other murals are all in the Cresent Drive vicinity.
One next to Jamba Juice, one behind Sweet Tomatoes, one to the left side of the old Left Bank restaurant,
and two on the side of Verizon. All six murals were commissioned by Developers Diversified Property
Management.
